  • Have you ever toked up on some dank Mary Jane?
  • Have you ever dumped someone?
  • Have you ever sexted someone?

Fact-checking our data

To make sure our users haven’t turned our personality database into a den of lies, we checked to see if our maps matched data from other authoritative sources. Spoiler: they do. Here’s the percentage of people using marijuana in the past month (at the time of their survey) by state according to Vox (who got their data from the Washington Post).

You can compare it to our map. Although note that the data from Vox/WP are from 2014, whereas our shit is fresh af.

I’m sorry, I’ve been living under a rock. Where’s this data from?

Duolicious is a dating app that matches people by personality. Users can answer up to 2005 yes-or-no psychometric questions. (Actually some questions aren’t really psychometric questions. They’re just silly questions.) At the time of writing we’ve got 64,398 registered users in the United States. The data in the interactive chart in this article is aggregated from those users.
